Job Duties Will carry a case load of clients through BHS providing outpatient counseling services weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. Co-facilitate groups if deemed appropriate by BHS Supervisor. Facilitate the development of treatment plans for each assigned client. Perform individual therapy for assigned client by onsite supervisor or licensed clinician. Assess and diagnose individuals as necessary under an LMHPs supervision. Demonstrate a proactive approach in your clinical support on an on-going basis to the residential and education component team members. Possess knowledge of and have experience with DSM-V, ICD-10 diagnoses, assessment, evaluation and referral processes. Possess a strong understanding of and have experience with systemic family therapy, individual therapy, and group therapy principles and theories. Maintain current knowledge of changes in policies and procedures, new community resources, and other information. Be available via phone for assistance/guidance for mental health urgent matters. Be able to evaluating and assessing their level of safety, stabilizing them in a crisis situation, listening and empathizing with them and helping them connect with family and friends. Provides follow up services, such as individual short-term counseling and referrals, when needed. Offers community outreach and psycho-educational programs. Have knowledge of, and collaborate with, social service agencies in Prince William County providing resources and referral information for continuing care. Attend all trainings mandated by YFT. Attend and participate in trainings, workshops and conferences for continued collaboration and education as mandated by YFT. Adhere to YFTs administrative policies regarding counseling, as well as state and federal guidelines concerning children and counselors. Take appropriate first steps in an emergency. Consult with BHS Supervisor or Director of Clinical Services for input on high risk situations. Immediately report suspected or actual physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse of any child to appropriate authorities and notify the Director of Clinical Services immediately Will review and submit all assessments, treatments plans, diagnosis, weekly notes, and discharges with onsite supervisor, registered licensed supervisor or a licensed BHS therapist on site. Will meet with weekly for supervision and review current case load with registered licensed supervisor. Will not conduct any counseling sessions or treatment without a licensed therapist in the BHS office and premises. Qualifications Qualifications Masters Degree and license eligible for supervision under (LMHP) to provide counseling services. Demonstrated ability to work with children, adolescents and adults in a counseling setting under supervision. Ability to assess treatment needs and deliver appropriate interventions under supervision. Ability to maintain all required documentation. Professionally facilitate counseling functions as they apply to our milieu of care.
