Hybrid-Remote Position Based in the Nashville, TN Market

Seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst II who will be responsible for leading projects and reporting initiatives. This role provides direction to the Data/BI Analysts as well as guides and directs the customer on the capabilities of our reporting environment. By leveraging a thorough understanding of database design and the SQL Language, the Data/BI Analyst II will evaluate the current environment and suggest changes to accommodate innovation and new tools. This role will require you to have an advanced skillset in the company’s data model as well as MicroStrategy to be used in prototyping new reporting objectives.
Hybrid Work Schedule - Candidate must be willing to work in the office 3 days a week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Business area of study preferred)
  • Advanced degree preferred in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Analytics
  • 4-5 years of experience in Business Intelligence (PBI, SQL, Excel Power Query/Power Pivot, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc)
  • Three to five years of business analyst experience
  • Advanced to Expert Excel skillset
  • Strong ability to work with very large data sets in a high pressure environment.
  • Moderate to advance knowledge for designing and building BI tools
  • Moderate to advance knowledge of relational databases on multiple platforms (i.e. Teradata, SQL Server, SalesForce)
  • Demonstrate basic to moderate presentation skillset and ability to communicate and facilitate topics clearly and effectively across department lines; working inside peer groups and receiving guidance from supervisor
  • Ability to leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to solve complex problems
  • Intermediate to Advanced SQL language
  • Proactively design and execute validation and testing plans

Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expertise in data model environment
  • Utilize moderate to advanced SQL language skillset develop reporting, prototype analytics and troubleshoot and test reporting objectives
  • Independently, present data formally and informally and facilitate discussion regarding data outputs and provide moderate to complex analysis and ad hoc operational reports as requested
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to use data in improving usage and operational workflow
