ASIC’s Data, Analytics and AI Team is seeking a talented BI Developer to join the team. The successful candidate will Design, develop and implement critical Business Intelligence (BI) reports using Power BI.

  • Sydney or Melbourne locations
  • 36-month Fixed Term Contract Position
  • Salary from $123,444 to $131,725 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuation

AS AN EXPERIENCED BI DEVELOPER WITH A DESIRE TO WORK IN A COMPLEX, ENTERPRISE LEVEL ENVIRONMENT, YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

  • More di4-7 years’ experience in a Power BI developer position.
  • Experience in data mart or BI semantic layer design (e.g., dimensional modelling).
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, SQL, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
  • Strong experience with solutions for Business Intelligence using Power BI (Mandatory), Qlik (Good to have).
  • Deep knowledge of advanced SQL queries.
  • Good understanding and experience with cloud services, such as AWS, Data Lake, Databricks.
  • Experience of working as Power BI Admin.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with a high-level ability to articulate and present complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to develop complex reports and dashboards in strict time frames and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience of working as developer and support team.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a BI Developer you will work with a cross-functional project team and will gather and document reporting requirements to meet business needs.

YOUR ROLE WILL ENCOMPASS THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, development and implementation of critical Business Intelligence (BI) reports using Power BI.
  • Using your skills and experience as a BI Developer, you will then use those requirements to design, develop, test and implement reports and dashboards that utilize the underlying data store(s)/ data warehouse(s) / data mart(s).
  • Provide training and assistance to users for generation of ad-hoc reports.
  • Design and implement BI best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes.
  • Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision.
  • Monitor Power BI Platform in an admin capacity.
  • Maintain, support, debug and enhance existing reporting solutions.
  • Put them into dot points.
