We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our BI Engineering team based in our Brampton office. The BI Engineer will work collectively and collaboratively with the IT Development team. This is a technical role within our IT Analytics team that requires a highly motivated and experienced BI professional to participate and contribute in all areas of advanced reporting and analytics. The BI Engineer is expected to scope, analyze, develop, automate, enhance, and validate BI reporting & analytics, and dashboard solutions in a timely manner. Responsibilities: Transform complex data sets into meaningful conclusions and actionable recommendations. Gather, organize, and analyze data from various load boards, identify areas of opportunity, and support business decisions. Analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured data and recommend broad-based innovative improvement initiatives. Produce and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly reporting systems and dashboards. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, reporting tools, and structures to track key metrics. Work with end users to understand their conceptual needs and translate them into production-ready solutions. Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, and analyses used to drive key business decisions. Advanced ability to draw insights from data and communicate them clearly to stakeholders and senior management, both verbally and in writing. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with 4+ years of industry experience. Advanced SQL skills for data acquisition, transformation, and analysis. Experience developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes, OLAP technologies, and data modeling. Proficiency in configuring and using Tableau or other BI applications to visualize data and create dashboards/scorecards (Tableau Desktop certification preferred). Strong knowledge of ETL design and development using Integration Services (SSIS). Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics, including Tableau administration/architecture. General understanding of databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake. Experience with Snowflake and PySpark is a plus. Professional experience with reporting packages and tools (Power BI, Tableau, Matillion, etc.) and general programming. Experience in the Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain industries is an asset. Advanced ability to analyze data and clearly communicate insights to stakeholders and senior management.
