Description Job Title: BIB Operator Department: Bag in Box Reports To: Department Supervisor FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt 2nd Shift Hours: 2:45pm-11:15pm Overtime required based on production need. $19.50/hour The BIB Operator is responsible for running the packaging line from start to finish. This includes keeping product flowing, operating equipment, ensuring materials are ready, completing documentation, and meeting all quality and food safety requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Set up, operate, and adjust bag-in-box and/or pail filling equipment. Keep the line running continuously with no delays due to lack of preparation. Coordinate with the thermal room to ensure product is ready and available. Ensure all materials (boxes, bags, lids, labels) are staged ahead of use. Direct and support the backup operator to maintain line flow. Monitor fill weights, seals and overall product quality. Troubleshoot and correct minor equipment or process issues. Call and coordinate with the lift driver to prevent pallet or material delays. Complete all required documentation accurately (ex. LUV labels, lot tracking, production records). Log all required events and downtime in Redzone - in real time. Ensure proper palletizing, labeling and staging of finished product. Maintain a clean and safe work area – following GMP policies and food safety standards. Communicate issues immediately to a supervisor. When the BIB is not scheduled for production, the BIB operator will be reassigned to other areas to ensure production demands are met.
