Description Bicycle Technician Mike’s Bikes is seeking an experienced Bicycle Technician to join our service team. This position requires a minimum of one year of professional shop experience. We are looking for a mechanic who can manage high-volume repairs independently and maintain a high standard of technical accuracy. Key Responsibilities Advanced Mechanical Service: Perform full tunes and specialized repairs, including hydraulic brake bleeds, electronic shifting diagnostics (Di2/AXS), and wheel truing. Service Writing & Communication: Diagnose bikes on the stand, provide accurate labor/parts estimates, and communicate technical updates to customers via our digital system. Workflow Management: Maintain an efficient pace to meet daily deadlines while ensuring all repairs pass safety and quality checks. Shop Standards: Keep a clean, organized workstation and assist in the maintenance of shop tools and shop-use equipment. Requirements Professional Experience: 1+ years of experience working in a professional bicycle service department. Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to work on a variety of platforms, including high-end road, MTB, and E-bikes. Reliability: Ability to work a consistent schedule, including weekends. Physical Demands: Ability to lift bikes up to 60 lbs (E-bikes), stand for 8+ hours a day, and perform repetitive fine-motor tasks. Communication: Ability to explain complex mechanical issues clearly to both team members and customers.
