Description Job Overview: The Bid Clerk will be responsible for preparing and tracking bid submissions and results, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain effective data management. Duties/Responsibilities: Review and prepare all incoming and upcoming chemical bids, including their results. Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for bid pricing and data tracking. Gather all necessary information for bid submissions, liaising with buyers as needed. Assist with preparing bid packages, including envelopes, exception letters, and all pertinent documentation for timely delivery. Monitor and record all aspects of bid results, maintaining accurate records. Notify the sales team of relevant bids in their areas and coordinate bid openings as necessary when present. Manage the submission of no-bid letters and track associated outcomes. Conduct research on various bid-related information as needed. Additional tasks and projects as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in bid processing or related roles is preferred.
