SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Trade qualification plus Certificate IV in Building & Construction/Project Management (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in bid management within the building/construction industry, with proven success.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements (council regulations, BCA, Australian Standards).
  • Experience preparing large, complex tenders to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
  • Solid understanding of contract management, risk management, and cost control.
  • Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and stakeholder engagement ability.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • (Preferred) Knowledge of modular building.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to oversee the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity through to submission and handover. The role involves coordinating tender packages, engaging with stakeholders/SMEs, ensuring bids are accurate and commercially viable, managing risks, reviewing costs and specifications, and leading the process through to post-award delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the end-to-end bid/tender preparation process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of submissions.
  • Review project scopes, drawings, programs, and costs to support successful bid outcomes.
  • Manage risk identification and mitigation strategies in collaboration with sales, delivery managers, and SMEs.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, company policies, safety, and statutory requirements.
  • Provide clear communication and seamless handover of bids to delivery/project teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, sales representatives, and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in bid processes, governance, and reporting.
