Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family We’re seeking Bid Managers to join our Major Projects and Civil Structures teams in Auckland and Christchurch. We are currently delivering work ranging from motorway extensions, bridges and wharves to water treatment plants, storage tanks and pipelines. You will lead and drive winning bids for civil construction projects, be an integral part of our team and manage the complete process from opportunity pursuit through to contract award, ensuring we submit cost-effective bids that meet our customers' needs. You will win profitable business by meeting customer needs more effectively than our competitors do. Managing a bid for new projects will often require all your focus. At other times you will be developing customer and market insight, positioning us for upcoming opportunities, and working on continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the effectiveness of the team. We’re looking for someone with: A tertiary qualification in engineering or related field Minimum of 5 years’ relevant industry experience Experience in leading projects in construction delivery and/or in pre-contracts Sound commercial understanding in relation to civil infrastructure construction contracts Practical knowledge of common procurement processes by government and private entities Knowledge of construction approaches, suppliers, subcontractors, design partners, and civil contractors in the New Zealand market Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills Creating, Connecting and caring for the community Our people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
