Primary Location VIC - Melbourne - 655 Collins St Job Description Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bid Manager to join Service Stream based in Brisbane or Melbourne About the Role Our Utilities division has an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager to join the Utilities Pre-Contracts team. You will be a vital member of the bid strategy and pre-planning through to bid preparation, submission and post submission. As a results-driven professional, you will thrive in a team environment and be able to engage with key stakeholders in the business to support the bid development process and use your expertise to identify and articulate client requirements into winning bids. Nature of position: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Fortitude Valley, QLD or Melbourne VIC Reporting Line: Head of Pre-Contracts Key Responsibilities Lead the development of bids and proposals related to water, power, gas, industrial (power generation) and network services opportunities throughout the entire process, including planning, delivery, and post-submission phases Collaborate with key stakeholders to effectively manage the end-to-end pursuit process as well as conduct client, industry and market analysis to support the Pre-Contracts function Proactively engage with business segment leads to understand current and prospective clients, identifying their needs and drive the solution and bid strategy Designing, developing and communicating the bid strategy and opportunity pipeline for Service Stream's Utilities division (inclusive of data management for pipeline and tender opportunities) Write, review, and edit content to create high-quality, persuasive, and customer-focused response documents, incorporating inputs from team members and subject matter experts (SMEs) and partners Collaborate with functional managers and General Managers to conduct bid strategy workshops, establish win themes, craft key messages and manage all stakeholders as part of the bid response process Provide guidance and coaching to the bid team on bid development processes, such as writing and graphics style guides and lead author response outlines Drive retention and growth of client revenue through well-developed bid strategy Drive best-practice bid process through creation and implementation of sales toolkits, enhanced sales automation capability and training opportunities as well as writing and editing content in line with key messages Management of all governance requirements throughout the entire bid and proposal process Delivery of monthly reporting and stakeholder communications for reporting Undertaking relationship management activities with selected sectors and clients About You Drive retention and growth of client revenue through well-developed bid strategy, Proactively engage with business segment leads to understand current and prospective clients, identifying their needs and drive the solution and bid strategy Designing, developing and communicating the bid strategy and opportunity pipeline for Service Stream's Utilities division Collaborate with key stakeholders to effectively manage the end-to-end pursuit process as well as conduct client, industry and market analysis to support the Pre-Contracts function Drive best-practice bid process through creation and implementation of sales toolkits, enhanced sales automation capability and training opportunities as well as writing and editing content in line with key messages Experience in the water and industrial sector is advantageous.
