PURPOSE OF JOB:
To be responsible for the successful completion of prequalification questionnaires and tender submissions in order to secure contracts for the business.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNABILITY:
· Lead the end-to-end development of allocated tender, PQQ and expression of interest submissions, ensuring compliance with all instructions and guidelines.
· Coordinate/create tender presentations where required.
· Write, edit, proof-read, and present quality bid content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a compelling narrative.
· Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather relevant information and disseminate this appropriately within bid responses.
· Analyse tender requirements and allocate team responsibilities utilising the submission matrix.
· Facilitate tender launch meetings (and review meetings as necessary) including leading discussion of quality requirements within these meetings.
· Edit, proof-read and review submissions of other bid writers where required.
· Monitor tender portals, raise clarifications and distribute correspondence where required (i.e. in the absence of Estimating Administrator).
· Ensure various databases and information libraries are kept updated as required, including iProcure, submissions logs, submission matrixes, records of portal logins, and catalogues of evidence (CVs, Project Profiles, Testimonial Letters).
· Create and update project profiles and CVs in line with tender requirements/as per allocated workload.
· Undertake annual accreditation renewals i.e. Constructionline.
· Attend regular bid team meetings to discuss pipeline, allocation and review of workload, review of strategy, previous submissions/lessons learned etc.
· Attend divisional preconstruction meetings where required.
· Support the continuous improvement of bid team output and processes.
· Support the development and achievement of bid team departmental business plan and objectives.
CORE BEHAVIOURS (What we look for in our staff)
Experience - Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a bid writing role, ideally within construction or similar industry. Understanding of public sector and framework procurement processes. Must be able to manage own workload effectively and take ownership of the full bid lifecycle from review to submission.
Skills -
Full-time preferred but would consider part-time for the right candidate
