The Role
We are seeking an experienced Bids and Tenders Manager who will be responsible for running the tenders, submissions and bids function across the firm. Preparing tenders, bespoke bids, pitches, legal directories and presentations for public and private targets and clients. Reporting to the Business Development Director in the management of the entire tender process for the firm. This role requires a strong understanding of the legal industry, excellent project management skills, and the ability to produce compelling and persuasive documents.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and managing the tender process from Bid/No Bid Stage to tender submission.
  • Manage multiple bid projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Drafting and finalising tender documents to meet specific tender submission requirements.
  • Working with partners and other lawyers in the firm to develop, update and tailor content.
  • Managing and updating the firms tender content library.
  • Recording and reporting on success rates, implementing feedback and improvement to tender submissions.
  • Reviewing bid documents to ensure they are clear, concise, and compelling.
  • Responsible for legal directory and award submissions.
  • Working as part of the wider marketing team.

  • An ability to communicate effectively at all levels with the firm’s partners and have the enthusiasm and initiative to deliver impactful tenders and pitches.
  • A high level of motivation and an ability to act on one’s own initiative.
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Must Have

  • At least 3 years management experience in the bids and tenders function in a professional services environment.
  • High level of proficiency in InDesign, Word, Excel, Canva, and PowerPoint.
