The Bierhall Retail Sales Supervisor provides leadership in the retail department, excellent customer service, processes sales using POS systems, maintains store cleanliness, and reorganizes merchandise. Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering product questions, resolving issues to ensure a positive shopping experience, and working alongside the Retail Management to assist in product order and receiving. This role requires a strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, the ability to take direction while working independently, and the mind to stay patient and attentive in a busy environment. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Scheduling: Will be responsible for scheduling a team of multiple full and part-time employees on a weekly basis. * Training: Will provide onboarding training to new hires. * Purchasing: Places orders to keep the shop stocked with branded glassware, and works with Retail Management to provide insight on selling trends when needed. * Sales Transactions: Process customer purchases (cash and credit), returns, and exchanges accurately using POS systems. * Inventory Control: Receive shipments, pick up inventory from the on-site warehouse, restock the shop, keep an organized and labelled back stock, and conduct inventory counts. * Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment. Keep sales floors tidy and shelves dust-free. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS * Leadership: Ability to inspire, guide, and train your staff effectively. The ability to speak directly and clearly about expectations so that operations run smoothly. * Organization: A natural inclination toward organization will be needed for keeping the shop looking presentable and keeping the backstock straight. * Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks and duties effectively for yourself and for the team. * Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members. Keeping a good working relationship with Retail Management as well as Bierhall Management.  * Mathematical Skills: A mind for numbers is ideal, with basic math skills for processing transactions and giving change being a must.  * Class 2 DLC Certification: Required for selling retail alcohol. The company will cover the cost of the certification * Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to lift more than 50lbs with assistance. * Work Environment: Ability to handle a loud and busy environment.  * Product Knowledge: Willingness to learn about products to advise customers effectively. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE IS WILLING TO * Train in Yellow Dog inventory software used to receive merchandise shipments. * Work extended hours and overtime as needed, especially during the fall (August-October) SCHEDULE * 40 Hours, Shifts Flexible * Bierhall Operating Hours: 11:30am-9:00pm Monday-Sunday
