Compensation will vary depending on experience and skill. Required Skills: Efficiency and organization Ability to take a thorough medical history and relay that history in a concise but thorough manner Comfort working in an environment where exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other biological materials is common Effective client communication and education (excellent written and verbal skills) Maintain clean and safe facilities Contribute to team meetings, attend team events, and provide input into challenges. Answering phones and assist front desk staff when needed. Proper maintenance of medical records Ability to lift 50lbs Client communication and education (excellent written and verbal skills) Abilities that are a plus (but we will train you if you haven't quite learned yet)! Be able to comfort, restrain and handle aggressive or non-aggressive feline and canine patients Venipuncture (jugular, cephalic, medial/lateral saphenous) Running in-house lab work Processing reference lab samples Understanding of veterinary pharmacology Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to decipher medical records Assisting in Surgery and Dentistry Performing Radiographs Assist doctors and veterinary technicians with appointments, prepping patients for surgery and minor procedures, and pro-actively set up any equipment and or tools to be used for a patient Dispense medications Collect laboratory samples Perform all aspects of routine pet care, including feeding, walking, monitoring, and observing animals in clinic Job Requirements: Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: Veterinary - 1 Year (Preferred) Schedule: Four days per week Monday-Friday, approximately 10 hours per day.
