JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced BigFix Developer with strong expertise in HCL BigFix (formerly IBM BigFix) to support endpoint management, patch automation, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in systems administration, security concepts, and hands-on experience developing and deploying custom fixlets, tasks, and baselines for enterprise environments.
This role requires proficiency with BigFix REST APIs, scripting languages, and integration with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow. The candidate will collaborate closely with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient vulnerability remediation and system hardening across Windows, Linux, and AIX environments.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Expertise with HCL BigFix (IBM BigFix) platform.
• Strong background in systems administration, endpoint management, and security.
• Hands-on experience with BigFix REST API for scripting, reporting, and external integration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Relevance Language, Action Script, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
• Experience creating custom reports and dashboards via BigFix Web Reports.
• Solid understanding of BES architecture.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and AIX operating systems.
• Familiarity with patch management processes and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and business teams.
• Understanding of security best practices and vulnerability remediation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve BigFix-related issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Support the administration and optimization of the BigFix BES architecture.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Relevance Language, Action Script, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
• Ensure endpoint security and compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.
