About the Role: Bike Rental Central Park is seeking a reliable and skilled Bike Mechanic to join our team near the iconic Central Park. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety, performance, and reliability of our fleet, which includes standard bikes, e-bikes, and scooters. You’ll play a key role in keeping our customers rolling—whether it's through daily maintenance or providing prompt roadside assistance. What We’re Looking For: We're looking for someone with mechanical experience (bike shop, scooter repair, or similar) who enjoys problem-solving, works well independently, and can thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential. If you’re dependable, proactive, and comfortable working outdoors, this is a great opportunity to join a high-energy team in one of NYC’s busiest tourist hubs. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair standard bicycles, scooters, and electric bikes Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on fleet equipment Provide roadside assistance in and around Central Park as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked repair station Log and track repairs and service updates accurately Distribute bikes if needed Communicate effectively with rental staff and management to ensure timely service Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a professional demeanor with customers
