One of our flagship programs, The Bike Valet, provides free, secure bicycle parking at events and public spaces, supporting cycling as a safe, accessible, and convenient transportation option. Job Title: Bike Valet Attendant Hourly Wage: $20 Job Types: Part Time, Seasonal Position Overview: The Bike Valet Attendant is a key front-line role responsible for delivering a safe, efficient, and welcoming experience for patrons using our bike parking services at events and seasonal locations. This is a highly interactive, customer-focused position that requires individuals to engage with the public, manage high-volume situations, and support the setup and takedown of valet infrastructure. The role operates in dynamic, fast-paced environments where professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential. This role requires a high level of reliability, punctuality, and the ability to confidently perform in fast-paced, outdoor event environments with continuous public interaction. Responsibilities: Support the setup and dismantling of Bike Valet infrastructure, including racks, fencing, tents, signage, and related equipment Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience to all patrons Safely tag, organize, store, and retrieve bicycles and other micromobility devices with care and efficiency Clearly communicate Bike Valet procedures and respond to patron inquiries in a helpful and informed manner Effectively manage peak periods by maintaining organized queues and ensuring smooth patron flow Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to deliver consistent and high-quality service Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized valet area at all times Working Conditions: Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Event-based shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physically active role requiring standing and walking for extended periods Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and legally eligible to work in Canada. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with diverse members of the public Ability to perform well in fast-paced, high-volume event environments Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods Ability to perform light physical work, including lifting and moving equipment up to 25 lbs, and safely handling bicycles throughout the shift. Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction while maintaining a high level of accountability Strong team player with a positive, professional, and proactive attitude Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and event-based shifts throughout the event season Ability to travel to various event locations across Metro Vancouver Must be able to commit to scheduled shifts and maintain consistent attendance throughout the event season
