BILINGUAL AZURE CLOUD ARCHITECT / CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT

On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is looking for a bilingual Azure Cloud Architect / Cloud Infrastructure Architect.
This is 11-month, fully remote, job opportunity. Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance is required. Must be bilingual (English/French).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist the CJCR IT SMC in migrating the Fortress application into the existing CJCR Gp Azure cloud space. The resource would work beside existing staff to increase productivity and ultimately get the application in the Cloud effectively and successfully in the desired time frame.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of existing infrastructure: Evaluate the current state of the on-prem application (Fortress) and identify dependencies
  • Risk and impact analysis: Document operational risks due to aging infrastructure and define mitigation strategies
  • Cloud readiness assessment: Determine technical and organizational readiness for cloud adoption of the Fortress application
  • Cloud architecture design: Define the target architecture in Azure, including networking, identity, and storage components
  • Security controls and compliance: Develop and implement security policies aligned with strategies
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Configure and deploy IaC templates for repeatable and scalable cloud environments
  • Application and data migration: Migrate application components and databases to Azure,
  • ensuring minimal downtime
  • Workload onboarding: Assist in onboarding users and workloads to Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Operational support: Provide post-migration support for the Azure Landing Zone and associated services
  • Documentation: Create, update and maintain documentation regarding the deploying of Fortress to the Cloud

Must Have:

  • Must have 2 years of experience supporting and implementing migrations of legacy applications into Azure cloud with clients in a large scale (>50k users) Canadian Federal Government department that is geographically disperses across at least 3 regions
  • Must have 3 years of experience in the last 5 years designing and implementing cloud technologies and solutions including ALL of the following:
  • Azure Firewall
  • Virtual networks, subnets and User Defined Routing (UDR)
  • Network Security Groups (NSG’s)
  • Application gateways
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  • Azure Keyvaults
  • Private endpoints
  • Centralized Logging Solution
  • Alerting/Monitoring
  • App Services
  • Must have 2 or more projects in the last 4 years related to migrating services into an Azure Cloud Environment, performing all of the following tasks:
  • Deploying App Gateways via Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Deploying and Configuring Azure WebApps via Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Deploying and Configuring Azure SQL Managed Instances via Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Creating Firewall and NSG Rulesets via Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Creating custom Azure Policies
  • Must have 5 years of experience in the last 8 years in infrastructure as code (IaC) languages, specifically Powershell, Terraform and Azure Verified modules (AVM)
  • Must have 3 of the 4 following certifications:

Azure Solutions Architect Expert DevOps Engineer Expert Azure Administrator Associate MS Cybersecurity Architect Expert
