Toronto Dermatology Centre is recruiting for a full time Dermatology Nurse, RN to join our growing team.
We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude who has a passion for medical dermatology. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task in their duties.
Our preferred candidate would be someone who has experience working in a dermatology clinic.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 2-3 years nursing experience
  • Current CPR/BCLS certification
  • Russian speaking, required.
  • Nursing experience in a dermatology office environment is an asset, but not needed (training will be provided)
  • Previous experience in clinical trials is an asset but not required
  • Superior interpersonal skills with staff and patients
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and multi-tasking are an asset
  • Perform procedures such as cryotherapy, skin biopsies, skin tag/lesion removal, electrocautery and specimen collection (training will be provided)
Responsibilities
  • Assist Dermatologist with biopsies and procedures as directed by the physician (i.e. preparing patients for treatment, preparing biopsy trays, injecting local anesthetic)
  • Educate patients on post-procedure care as necessary
  • Coordinate with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service
  • Documentation using our EMR
  • Maintain clean, safe and well stocked exam room
  • Sterilize surgical instrument
  • Follow up phone calls with patients regarding care
  • Contact patients with their lab results
