What is in it for you: Wonderful company culture - our colleagues are at the heart of all that we do Food & Beverage discount of 50% in our restaurants Employee benefit card offering discounted rates in Accor worldwide for you and your family Learning programs through our academies designed to sharpen your skills Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, like Planet 21 Comprehensive extended health benefits package Job Description Reporting to the Chief Concierge and Senior Rooms Managers, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Assist guests with mail, messages, and any plans or arrangements they require Assist with any plans or arrangements the guest intends to make during their stay and to ensure timely follow up with guests and any confirmations for bookings Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way Assists in overseeing the bell desk and bell team Follow department policies, procedures and service standards Follow all safety policies Other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous customer related experience required Must possess a professional presentation Must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal & written communication skills Must be fluent in both languages Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all time Previous supervisory/management experience a strong asset Additional Information Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shift Regularly lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Fairmont Château Laurier is proud to provide employment accommodation during the recruitment process.
