• Position Title: Bilingual Educational Facilitator
• Start Date: Immediately
• Employment Type: Full-time Permanent
• Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, including occasional evenings and weekends as required for competition events, occasional overtime required.
• Compensation: $45,000-$55,000/year
• Work Location: Hybrid

THE OPPORTUNITY:

STEAM PEI is looking for a Bilingual Educational Facilitator to work with our team in developing and facilitating in-school experiences, camps, workshops, classes, events and parties across PEI in both French and English. Join the STEAM Team and feel like a rock star when you walk into a classroom, arms loaded with fun robotics or science experiments.
There may be a few evenings and weekend hours, but most of the work that needs to be done happens during, or just after school hours. We believe in doing what needs to be done when it needs to be done, so there is plenty of flexibility to maintain the work/life balance you are looking for. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Fully bilingual French & English;
• An undergraduate degree in a related field (science, technology, engineering and/or math would be ideal) OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience facilitating group learning sessions, workshops, or training with youth.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in both English & French.
• Willingness to work as a team player with the ability to adapt and quickly adjust to changes.
• Reliable vehicle and driver’s license because travel across the Island is part of our regular work.

STEAM PEI’s mission is to inspire young Islanders to pursue learning and careers in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) fields by fostering their curiosity and confidence through engaging experiential learning opportunities. STEAM PEI strives to reach youth all across PEI, with a special focus on girls, Indigenous youth, and youth from low socio-economic backgrounds who are traditionally under-represented in STEM fields.
