• Provide English language instruction to students identified as English Learners (ELs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Deliver content-based ESL instruction using sheltered instruction and other research-based strategies that support English language development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Provide bilingual support in Spanish to ensure content accessibility and promote native language development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lessons, assessments, and instructional materials to meet the language needs of EL students.
• Assess students English language proficiency using appropriate diagnostic tools and maintain accurate records in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) requirements.
