Do you have a passion for language, education, and making a real difference in the lives of multilingual learners across the Island’s schools?
Joining a supportive and diverse team, as a Senior Education Support Officer within the English as an Additional Language (EAL) Service you’ll play a vital role in helping international arrivals settle into school life, working closely with pupils to provide targeted learning support, boosting confidence, and promoting inclusion, and play a key role in helping students navigate both their academic and social environments, ensuring they feel welcome and empowered to succeed. You’ll also guide and train school staff, helping them develop inclusive strategies to support learners with English as an Additional Language.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a service that is growing and evolving to meet the needs of international arrivals in primary and secondary schools across the Isle of Man. You’ll contribute to a positive and inclusive learning experience by assisting with language development, supporting cultural integration, and collaborating with school staff to create effective learning strategies.
