Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Bilingual Health Information Consultant for our Federal Government client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Background:
As our client determines how it can best contribute further to the improvement and use of immunization information, one certainty is that it will require immunization data to do so – either data that is being submitted to existing data holdings on a regular basis or data that currently exists solely in jurisdictional immunization information systems. To plan its next steps, our client will need a thorough understanding of P/T business processes with respect to immunization (i.e., the settings in which immunizations are performed and the health care professionals who perform them) as well as their information-related practices and infrastructure.
Services:
While our client has strong relationships with provincial/territorial leaders and staff responsible for delivering health care, they have fewer connections with those monitoring and delivering public health. The external consultant will:

Planning Phase

  • Meet with the client to develop a mutually agreed-up schedule for this work.
  • Generate a list of provincial/territorial contacts for consultation, including both public health and health system delivery sectors.

Data Collection Phase

  • Develop an interview guide and/or survey to capture the requested information
  • Conduct jurisdictional interviews and/or surveys

As information from Quebec is a necessity, French language capacity (written and spoken) is required.

Reporting Phase

  • Presentation of summarized results to the client
  • Written report

Deliverables

  • The contractor will produce a report based on the results of the environmental scan. The report will be structured to allow for straightforward comparisons between jurisdictions.
