We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Authorization Specialist to support our healthcare operations. This role is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, obtaining prior authorizations, and coordinating with insurance providers to ensure timely patient care. The ideal candidate is bilingual, highly organized, and experienced in working with U.S. healthcare systems and tools. Key Responsibilities Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification for patients. Obtain and manage prior authorizations for procedures and services. Communicate with insurance companies via phone to resolve coverage issues. Coordinate and support peer-to-peer review processes when required. Schedule patient appointments and ensure accurate documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and patient support. Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance verification and prior authorizations within gastroenterology or weight loss specialties is a must. Proven experience communicating with insurance companies, including coordinating and supporting peer-to-peer reviews. Prior experience scheduling patient appointments in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with DrChrono EMR is preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
