A fine-dining restaurant is looking for a Bilingual Japanese/English Finance Assistant Manager to join their team in Brea, CA. They are responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations, managing relationships with outsourced bookkeeping providers, and supporting the Director of Finance. A bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, 3+ years of experience in accounting/finance, Microsoft Excel (financial models) experience, Solid Understanding of US GAAP, and the ability to speak/read/write Japanese are required. It is a full-time, hybrid (1 day at home), exempt position, with excellent benefits and a 401k.
Bilingual Japanese/English Finance Assistant Manager Duties:
-Supervise and coordinate with outsourced bookkeeping service providers to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
-Make a financial statement
-Oversee accounts payable activities, including invoice processing and credit card payment management, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
-Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
-Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
-Monitor daily cash positions and manage intercompany fund transfers.
-Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and short- to mid-term financial projections.
-Track and monitor budgets, expenses, and variances, providing actionable insights to management.
-Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal accounting policies.
-Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
Bilingual Japanese/English Finance Assistant Manager Skills
-Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
-Must have the ability to speak/read/write Japanese
-3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
-Microsoft Excel (financial models) experience
-Solid Understanding of US GAAP
