JOB OVERVIEW

A global trading company from Asia in the downtown Vancouver area is looking for a Bilingual who speaks both Japanese and English fluently to join their Sales Assistant team.
This position is a temp contract position for 12 months (with potential extension). The company is able to directly hire you after if your work performance and attendance are outstanding. We are looking for someone who speaks both Japanese and English at or above Business level. Also, we do not support any VISA processes at this time. You will be required to have either Canadian citizenship or PR.
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Sales Representatives or Managers with their sales growth by identifying customer needs for logistics activities, providing tailored solutions, and building strong relationships with clients. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

QUALIFICATION FOR JAPANESE AND ENGLISH BILINGUAL SALES ASSISTANT:

  • Proven experience in business administration (Data Entry, Client Support, etc…)
  • Previous logistics coordinator experience is a plus as this position requires assisting their logistics department
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective presentations and negotiations in both Japanese and English
  • A results-driven attitude with a passion for achieving targets and driving business growth
  • Must have Canadian citizenship or PR since this position does not support your VISA/immigration
  • This position is in an office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct accurate data entry for customer orders
  • Create invoice and send to clients and follow up with payment processes
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop promotional strategies that enhance sales efforts
  • Track sales metrics and prepare regular reports on performance against targets
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s offerings
