REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Proficient in both Mandarin and English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities in both languages.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • High attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, contributing positively to cross-functional collaboration.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and develop professionally within the engineering field.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in computer-aided drafting using AutoCAD Map 3D, Civil 3D, and/or Revit for preparing technical drawings.
  • Strong mathematical skills to support problem-solving in drafting, design, construction, and maintenance contexts.
  • Experience writing technical reports, memos, correspondence, and completing project-related forms.
  • Effective oral and written communication with the general public, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to interpret and transcribe basic survey and field notes accurately.
  • Familiarity with drafting techniques, industry standards, nomenclature, and symbols across engineering disciplines.
  • Understanding of engineering graphics and documentation best practices used in drawing preparation and technical illustrations.
    The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break each day. Please note that this schedule is flexible and may be subject to change based on the employee and employer’s needs

Responsibilities
  • Provide general, entry-level technical support to the engineering team across various project phases.
  • Assist in identifying areas for product or process improvement and help develop practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Collect, calculate, and analyze field and departmental data for use in the design and drafting of engineering drawings.
  • Support the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and materials planning for engineering projects and site evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers from multiple disciplines, technicians, and project managers to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Participate in meetings and technical discussions; contribute insights and communicate technical information effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • Assist in the processing of contractor construction submittals, including logging, transcribing, tracking, and organizing materials for review.
  • Organize, reproduce, and maintain engineering documentation using digital databases and spreadsheets.
  • Apply mathematical computations and basic engineering principles as required to support daily tasks and analyses.
  • Respond professionally and accurately to information requests from the public, contractors, and external agencies.
  • Draft memos, correspondence, and field reports related to engineering observations and administrative activities.
  • Review and interpret CAD drawings to accurately assess required materials and quantities for construction or design initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit material requisitions in line with project schedules, technical specifications, and procurement guidelines to support timely and cost-effective resource availability.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required by the department.
