The Opportunity: Northern Illinois Food Bank seeks an extraordinarily motivated candidate to join our team as a Bilingual Outreach Coordinator. This role is responsible for providing a high-quality customer service experience for Neighbors participating in My Pantry Express (MPX) and the Neighborhood Market in Rockford, IL. The coordinator will support the distribution and pick-up/delivery experience of MPX and help maximize the distribution of food and other products at the Neighborhood Market in accordance with established policies and procedures. This Full-Time position is based out of our Northwest Center (Rockford) location. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in set-up and clean-up of designated My Pantry Express and Neighborhood Market distributions. • Maintain integrity of food distributed according to food safety standards and practices. • Uphold a warm and friendly interaction with volunteers and program customers. • Inform and notify any incidents to Senior Program Manager. • Respond to questions from MPX and WCM volunteers and customers about the program. • Perform other related duties and/or responsibilities as assigned or required. Qualifications Who You Are: • Bilingual in English and Spanish required • Excellent customer service, including in-person, phone, and email communication • Ability to work well under pressure • Certification in operating warehouse equipment or willing to become certified • Must be open and adaptive to change • Must be willing to travel weekly to multiple distribution sites
