Momentum Spine and Joint is looking for a Bilingual Patient Advocate to join our team!   SUMMARY: The Patient Advocate is responsible for resolving issues, directing patient inquiries or complaints, facilitating satisfactory resolutions, scheduling appointments, and follows up to ensure issues have been resolved for specific accounts.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: *  Collect new patient referrals and updates corresponding referral log *  Confirm pre-authorization for treatment from appropriate parties *  Report statistics as required, manage filing and record keeping activities *  Update daily log and calendar for all patient office visits *  Schedule and/or reschedules patient’s consultation with the appropriate provider *  Determine appropriate referral, office clinic location(s) for patient’s being referred out, communicate with appropriate staff to ensure patient is schedule timely *  Notify providers and third parties concerning no show and/or noncompliant patient’s *  Verify case status concerning patient’s treatment and follow-up with appropriate law firm, as necessary *  Respond promptly and professionally to emails and inquiries regarding patient issues and discrepancies *  Address and fulfill requests for information received via faxes, emails, and text messages *  Perform other duties as assigned   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology *  Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) *  Strong attention to detail *  Ability to communicate professionally with patients, clients, and guests *  Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: *  High School diploma or GED *  One (1) year customer service experience    For more information, please visit our website: momentumspine.com Momentum Spine and Joint is an outpatient clinical network serving the DFW metroplex.
