Bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Support Specialist   Overview Family Centers is seeking a dynamic, flexible and organized individual to join our healthcare team as a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Support Specialist.  As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operational flow within the community health clinic. The clinic, an FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center), provides primary healthcare, dental and mental health services to those living in Greenwich Public Housing communities and the surrounding neighborhoods.    Responsibilities * Greet and assist patients with professionalism and courtesy. * Manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and maintain an organized appointment calendar. * Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and other confidential documentation.  * Facilitate patient check-in and check-out process efficiently. * Provide accurate information to patients regarding services, policies and procedures. * Collaborate with medical/dental staff to coordinate patient care and address inquiries.   Requirements * Associates Degree or Business Institute Certificate * Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written communications). * Professional communication and customer service skills * Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail * Proficiency with Microsoft Office software * Ability to work on-site 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Tuesday and Thursdays  * Comfortable with providing translation services in Spanish for patients and staff.   Preferred * At least two years prior administrative/call center/customer service experience  * Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) - EPIC * Exposure/experience with medical terminology and provider billing practices * Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations Compensation     $45,000 - $50,000 annually Benefits and Perks At Family Centers, we believe in taking care of our compassionate staff who care for our community.
