The receptionist is a vital part of the running of our school here at Kido. What will you do? You'll work closely to support the people in your school and you’ll be an ambassador for our values and a gatekeeper for our great culture. You will have accountability for the following: Team Player – be part of a fantastic team and forge great relationships within your team and everyone in the early education setting. This will include supporting teachers with restroom breaks and meal breaks as needed, as well as subbing in classes from time to time. Setting up – you’ll help to create inspiring learning places, utilizing indoor and outdoor space. Teaching – While your primary responsibilities will be at the front desk, you’ll have the opportunity to support teaching staff as well. Be hands-on helping to deliver a great learning experience for our children and support the team to meet curriculum aims and objectives. Curriculum – help Kïdo to deliver the best and most up to date curriculum for our children, and facilitate the sharing of this information with our families through the app and newsletters. Relationships – You will encourage open lines of feedback and communication between colleagues, parents, and children. You’ll create meaningful relationships within your team and with parents to provide the best service for our families. Paperwork - you’ll be responsible for helping to ensure that all school paperwork is up to date and ready for licensing. Any other duties as reasonably requested by the school management Position Requirements Education: the ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following: High school diploma or equivalent (required) Technical school or associate degree Experience: the ideal candidate will have one or both of the following: Two to three years of clerical experience At least one year of experience in a licensed child care setting Additional Requirements: At least 18 years of age Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children in our care, the successful candidate is expected to undergo an enhanced fingerprint-based background check.
