Description
Safety Worxs is seeking a Spanish/English Bilingual Safety OSHA 500 Trainer in Norfolk, VA to join our dynamic team in a bridge/roadway project. The Safety Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs that ensure compliance with federal and state safety regulations. Responsibilities: Deliver safety orientation and onboarding training for new hires and subcontractors. Develop, schedule, and lead training sessions on topics including (but not limited to): Fall Protection Confined Space Entry (CSE) Excavation and Trenching Forklift and MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) Silica Awareness Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) First Aid/CPR OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Maintain accurate training records and certifications in alignment with OSHA and company policy. Perform job site visits to conduct field-based training, safety coaching, and toolbox talks. Support the client representative in analyzing incident trends and identifying training needs. Ensure training materials are updated regularly and reflect current regulations and client standards. Assist in the development of job safety analysis (JSA) and site-specific safety plans. Partner with client representatives to schedule and prioritize training. Support audits and inspections by ensuring employee training documentation is current and accessible. Promote a positive safety culture by engaging employees at all levels Qualifications: 5+ years of safety training experience, preferably in construction or heavy civil environments OSHA 500 Certification Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards and other applicable safety regulations. Experience with adult learning principles and hands-on training delivery. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Spanish/English bilingual Preferred: Current BCSP CIT (Certified Instructional Trainer) Benefits: 45-50 hours Per Diem Available Healthcare benefits paid Dental, vision, disability insurance 401k at 5% match Estimated 3 year project $105,000 - $115,000 Depending on Experience
