On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Project Control Officer, Budgeting for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BILINGUAL (SPANISH/ENGLISH) PCO, BUDGETING (FINANCIAL/BANKING) - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project Control Officer will support Canadian and International Banking collection projects aimed at implementing a Collections Platform and Digital Solutions on an international level. The role involves assuming project support responsibility for all aspects of the project life cycle, including financial management tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, and invoice payments, while ensuring compliance with the Bank’s deadlines.

BILINGUAL (SPANISH/ENGLISH) PCO, BUDGETING (FINANCIAL/BANKING) - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 5-8 years of Financial Management Experience, specifically in budgeting.
  • 5-8 years of experience in project coordination or project control positions.
  • 2+ years of experience in a financial institution.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

BILINGUAL (SPANISH/ENGLISH) PCO, BUDGETING (FINANCIAL/BANKING) – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • PMP designation is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the project secretariat, including preparing/distributing agendas, attending meetings, and preparing/distributing minutes.
  • Support the Delivery Manager/Project Manager in maintaining project momentum amidst conflicting priorities.
  • Document and cost project activities using Microsoft Project.
  • Communicate project status and escalate issues to the Delivery Manager or Senior Delivery Manager as required.
  • Maintain project files, including Risk, Actions, and Issues log (RAID), project documentation, and third-party contracts.
  • Audit project deliverables, review time tracking reports, and manage budget reconciliation and cost forecasts.
