ACDS Westchester is seeking a fully bilingual (English/Spanish) Special Education Supervisor to help oversee daily classroom operations, mentor teaching staff, and support a high-quality, collaborative learning environment for students with disabilities ages 3 to 5.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Bilingual Special Education Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day success of our 4410 preschool program. You’ll work closely with the Principal and Assistant Principal—and as part of a team of Education Supervisors—to ensure that classrooms run smoothly, instruction stays strong, and staff feel supported. While experience in behavior management is a plus, this position focuses on classroom oversight, staff mentorship, and ensuring consistent quality across the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting classroom flow, transitions, and school routines
  • Stepping into classrooms to assist with instruction and coverage as needed
  • Mentoring and coaching teaching staff in classroom management best practices
  • Coordinating staff coverage, schedules, and schoolwide operations
  • Collaborating with clinical staff and related service providers
  • Helping to ensure compliance with DOE, DOH, OCFS, and ACDS policies
  • Supporting data-driven instruction and continuous improvement
  • Communicating effectively in both English and Spanish across written, verbal, and translation tasks
