KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or;
  • Associate’s degree, or;
  • Bachelor’s degree.

JOB EXPERIENCE

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Tenders or Contracts or equivalent experience, with a : High School Diploma or equivalent, or;
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Tenders or Contracts or equivalent experience, with an associate’s degree, or;
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Tenders or Contracts or equivalent experience, with a bachelor’s degree.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • Strong oral and written skills in both French and English
  • Strong MS Office Word, Excel, Acrobat, Information Management and Sharepoint skills
  • Experience assessing, amending, and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
  • Project management and process improvement experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn and lead new processes and systems.
  • Quality-oriented

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities
  • Provides commercially oriented coordination and guidance to management and business units on tender’s administration.
  • Prepares and administers the technical and pricing material for each tender, coordinating with all parties involved.
  • Researches, tracks and coordinates tenders and contracts.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and local legislation.
  • Facilitates any management approvals required for price levels and contract terms for tenders.
  • Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
  • Must be able to work flexibly to ensure submissions meet critical deadlines.
  • Monitor bid sites daily for the identification of potential business opportunities for Medtronic; confirm and track.
  • Prepare, organize and maintain tender records, files and data.
  • Co-lead tender response process through application of Project Management skills.
  • Analyze tender documents for processes, requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions for compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate and Medtronic of Canada policies and specific procedures and bid requirements.
  • Respond to general tender requirements using standard language and content.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to update and develop tender content for general responses.
  • Print or Save, Compile, Ship and Upload Tenders.
  • Liaise and Negotiate contracts with Customers and internal subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate and support the development and finalization of customized contracts.
  • Analyze contract documents for acceptable terms and conditions and mark up with standard MDT responses.
  • Initiate and participate in the development and execution of standard and updated processes and procedures in the Canada Tenders function.
  • Rapidly adopt new processes and systems.
  • Administer key tender tools.
  • Support information requests (i.e. for business reviews, pre-tender support, etc.).
  • Coordinate and support contract negotiations.
  • Finalize contracts and coordinate handovers following departmental processes.
  • Provide backup to the department as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members as needed.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
