BILINGUAL TAX ANALYST:

On behalf of our Professional Services client, Procom is searching for a Bilingual Tax Analyst for a 5 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BILINGUAL TAX ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Bilingual Tax Analyst will be involved in enhancing and certifying tax software products by working closely with engineers and tax authorities. This role involves a mix of tax calculations, software testing, and client interaction to ensure high-quality, compliant tax solutions.

BILINGUAL TAX ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Experience preparing and reviewing QC & Federal (TP-1 & T1)
  • Strong background in tax research and analysis and a deep understanding of Canadian tax law
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written)
  • Comprehensive understanding and use of tax preparation software
  • Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software

BILINGUAL TAX ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience using TaxCycle, TaxPrep, and ProFile
  • Prior programming/coding experience
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM and IT project management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
  • Identify, analyze, and accurately update tax calculations and forms within the software by creating detailed specifications for engineers
  • Test tax calculations, user experience, and form display changes within the software
  • Apply tax, accounting, and business knowledge to develop and improve new software features
  • Work with federal and provincial tax authorities to certify our tax products
  • Participate in the development and documentation of key operational processes and checklists, and product specifications
  • Work with customer support representatives to resolve customer issues and deal directly with clients, as needed
  • Continually assess and drive process and tool improvements
  • Effectively prioritize individual and team work to ensure delivery of product features with the highest quality and customer value
