The Medical Assistant (MA) provides clinical and administrative support to physicians and advanced practice providers in the delivery of patient-centered pain care. This role assists with patient assessments, interventional procedures, medication management support, and documentation while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and clinic-specific regulations. The MA functions as an integral member of the care team in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment. We are seeking to hire a seasoned Travel Medical Assistant to support our clinics in North and South Carolina. Essential Duties Travel, by air or car to various clinic locations daily Lead and direct work of clinic medical assistants Serve as critical link for the physicians to handle all of their electronic medical records patient to patient Observe how our physicians approach a patient visit, how they interpret symptoms, and help each patient Interpret and document the doctor patient visit and the clinical charting of each patient in its entirety Provide EHR Charting Support directly for Physicians as a Medical Assistant in Real Time Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients Check-out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history Assist in the administration of injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and tests Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies Other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner Must be detail-oriented and highly organized Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures Strong computer, typing, and listening skills Experience in EHR documentation with outpatient clinics Strong Leadership skills Must be able to maintain confidentiality 100% travel required Other duties as assigned
