WORKERS COMPENSATION CLAIMS MANAGER

Are you experienced in managing workers compensation claims for Quebec? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our team and ensure the efficient intake and management of workplace injury claims, in line with provincial requirements and our client’s policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Proven experience in managing workers’ compensation claims in Quebec.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and the claims management process in Quebec.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • Education: Background in human resources, health and safety, or insurance is an asset. Significant claims management experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Claims Management: Open claims with the Quebec Workers’ Compensation Board (CNESST) and manage them proactively to minimize time-loss and costs.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate and analyze reported incidents to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Communication: Maintain regular and open communication with clients, injured workers, and the CNESST.
  • Legislation Interpretation: Interpret and apply Quebec’s workers’ compensation legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Reporting and Appeals: File injury reports, identify appeal issues, and draft objection letters.
  • Case Management: Develop, implement, and monitor return-to-work and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Medical Follow-Up: Ensure timely follow-up on medical reports and review CNESST correspondence.
  • Independent Medical Evaluations: Identify and prepare files for Independent Medical Evaluations (IME).
