Job Purpose The Business Specialist uses expertise within systems and data tools to investigate complex problems, modify, and communicate critical information to the appropriate network, and promote/implement solutions that improve effectiveness and efficiency of the team within a challenging production and supply chain environment. The Business Specialist is also responsible for supporting/implementing business plan themes/strategies developed by Auto Spec Control Department leadership and Development Operations Business Unit (DOBU) leadership (specifically pertaining to systems/technical applications). Key Accountabilities Lead/Support Delivery team in troubleshooting system issues and developing sustainable and robust countermeasures Maintain/support critical projects, Business Plan Themes, and other initiatives, present/escalate when necessary Engage with Auto Spec Control Group/Unit Leaders and PICs to develop useful, scenario specific tools on demand. BOM System/Product Owner (AHEAD / DCMS / RE-X / etc.) - Engage with colleagues in DOBU and other Business Units to develop & implement system enhancements. Promote skills development within team through systems/analytics training Support Monthly Scorecard Data Pulling and summarizing Workstyle The employee will have to work onsite at least 80% of the time, at the Honda Auto Development Center (ADC), at Raymond, OH. The rest 20% may be remote with prior departmental approval. Visa sponsorship issues This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Education: Bachelors’ degree in Management Information Systems, Business Data Analytics, Data Science (or equivalent relevant experience in the industry). Experience: At least 3 or more years of relevant experience. Prior demonstrable experience with digital tools preferred. Other Job-Specific Skills • Microsoft Suite skills including Forms, Word, PowerPoint, Excel including advanced formulas, charts/graphs, pivot tables, dual axis charts and format macros. • Power BI Dashboard Creation, Power Automate Flow Creation, Python Scripts to Combine multiple VBA Tools & Applications for AI Tools, SQL Query Skills and VBA Macro skills are useful in role as a digital tool / dashboard developer. • Accurately interprets direction from leadership; clearly communicates and conveys technical, business or policy information appropriately across multiple levels within a unit or group of operation • Clearly, concisely & logically organizes and communicates key points, concepts, or strategies to Leadership and/or team members • Takes accountability for actions and decisions when outcomes are positive or negative.
