Job Summary: The Biller demonstrates knowledge of LLUH Payer billing rules, regulations and contracts. Utilizes multiple hospital billing systems. Submits electronic and hardcopy claims in a strategic and timely manner. Performs insurance eligibility checks on various systems and websites; updates incorrect payer codes and financial classes as needed. Obtains missing documentations, invoices, and communicates with hospital departments regarding charges and missing documentations. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Minimum one year experience in hospital UB04 billing and collections required. Knowledge and Skills: Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Epic knowledge preferred. Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position; Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; and responds courteously when under pressure; collaborates and accepts direction; think critically; manage assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
