CRF – CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY!

Hours: This is an exempt, salaried position. Office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm; Friday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. This position is an on-site position and requires in-person attendance to perform the essential functions of the job.
Salary: $85,000 to $95,000 per year
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Current Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Five years of progressive experience in medical billing.
• Two years of experience leading a billing team preferred.
• Solid understanding of Medi-Cal insurance coding
• Ability to reach and understand medical documentation and associated medical coding.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard process
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility in managing multiple deadlines and priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including a proven ability to tactfully collaborate on challenging issues
• Ability to work independently with solid problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills; proven record of initiative and follow through
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record billing functionality, preferably SmartCare.
• Proficient computer skills, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (V-Lookup and Pivot Tables)
• A valid California driver’s license in good standing, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance are required to fulfill the essential functions of this position.
• Able to pass criminal/background clearance
