Position Overview ASTP is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join its growing finance organization. This role plays a critical part in supporting accurate revenue recognition, timely invoicing, and strong cash flow across the platform. The Billing Analyst will be responsible for executing day-to-day billing activities, analyzing billing data, and resolving discrepancies while collaborating closely with Operations, Accounts Receivable, and other internal stakeholders. This is a hands-on role suited for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and is comfortable owning processes while continuously improving them. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and issue client invoices accurately and on time in accordance with contractual terms, service agreements, and billing schedules. Review customer contracts and service agreements to ensure proper billing setup, compliance, and ongoing alignment with agreed-upon terms. Analyze billing data to identify trends, variances, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement. Investigate and resolve billing inquiries and disputes, partnering with customers, Operations, and internal finance teams as needed. Collaborate closely with Operations to validate service delivery data and ensure billing accuracy. Develop, document, and maintain billing procedures, controls, and process workflows. Support the Accounts Receivable Manager by monitoring outstanding balances, assisting with collections follow-up, and ensuring timely customer payments. Assist with month-end close activities, including billing-related reconciliations and reporting. Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests. Identify and implement opportunities to enhance billing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the business continues to grow. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, revenue accounting, or financial analysis. Strong understanding of billing processes and revenue recognition principles. Demonstrated experience in hands-on billing roles with direct accountability for accuracy and timeliness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions. High level of proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong analytical capabilities with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a deadline-driven environment. Working knowledge of financial controls, compliance standards, and best practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience in student transportation, logistics, or other service-based industries. Exposure to private equity-backed or high-growth, multi-entity organizations.
