OVERVIEW

Misfit Addiction Counseling is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support our growing telehealth behavioral health practice. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate and timely billing operations, contributing directly to the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and skilled in handling billing processes, client account reconciliation, and financial reporting. Candidates must reside in Colorado to be considered.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in Quicken, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
  • Experience with account reconciliation, invoicing, and payment posting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to address billing concerns professionally and empathetically.
  • Previous experience in healthcare billing, behavioral health, or Medicaid/insurance reimbursement is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit accurate invoices for behavioral health services in accordance with internal procedures and payer requirements.
  • Reconcile client accounts, identify discrepancies, and take corrective action to ensure accurate records.
