POSITION SUMMARY

Mesa Vista Wellness is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing and Credentialing Specialist to join our behavioral health team. This role ensures financial and operational stability by overseeing provider credentialing, managing insurance and client billing, and following up on outstanding account balances. The ideal candidate will be experienced in healthcare billing—especially behavioral health—and skilled at navigating insurance requirements while maintaining compassion and professionalism with clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, and/or credentialing, ideally in behavioral health or mental health.
• Strong knowledge of insurance requirements, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and payer processes.
• Familiarity with EHR and billing software (experience with [insert your system if applicable]).
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional communication skills for working with providers, payers, and clients regarding sensitive billing matters.
• Ability to balance persistence in collections with compassion for clients.
