QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree a plus)
  • Prior experience in medical billing or nonprofit finance preferred
  • Knowledge of SC Medicaid, insurance portals, CPT/ICD-10 coding a bonus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital records systems

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Billing and Finance Assistant to join our growing team. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is meticulous, organized, and eager to contribute to both our financial operations and the transition from our current electronic records platform (ClinicSource) to a new system (Fusion/Ensora Health).
As the new Billing and Finance Assistant, you will work closely with our Billing Manager and Chief Operations Officer to ensure accurate processing of claims, recordkeeping, and invoicing. This is a critical support position that helps ensure our clinic’s services remain accessible and well-coordinated for families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

InsuranceBilling Support

  • Download, organize, and file EOBs from payer portals
  • Post insurance payments and denials into the billing system
  • Verify Medicaid eligibility and update insurance info in real-time
  • Support claim follow-up and patient billing communication

FinanceBookkeeping

  • Record daily deposits and expenses in QuickBooks
  • Generate invoices for therapy services and sponsorships
  • Assist with monthly reconciliation and financial reports

Administrative Support

  • Respond to records requests and assist with front desk coordination
  • Support transition from ClinicSource to Ensora Health billing platform
