JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, and maintaining financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of financial concepts. The Billing Assistant will work closely with various departments to ensure timely collection of payments and resolve any discrepancies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, administrative finance and/or office reception work.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy (10 key typing).
  • Strong negotiation skills for resolving billing disputes effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional phone and email manner.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections
  • Analyze billing data and prepare reports for management review.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding billing inquiries and payment terms.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support corporate accounting functions.
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, payments and account balances
  • Support the accounting team with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, route them appropriately, and respond to client inquiries.
  • Monitor and respond to incoming emails promptly and professionally
