TekSystems is currently hiring for a Medical Billing Assistant in the Baltimore area! MUST HAVE: Any medical billing experience, or billing customer service, or anything related that would be similar, reimbursement specialist, etc! Description Billing Asst for the billing team. Will be taking payments or setting up payment plans, copays, posting payments, charge entry & reconciliation/review, keying into EPIC, working off EPIC work que to assist with overflow, data entry. Will be directly supporting all billers with other duties as assigned. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Someone with Payment posting/charge entry/light medical billing/patient financial services background 2+ years related experience in an ADMN WITHIN BILLING TEAM/Any other similar function within billing such as prior-auth/AR/etc role in a healthcare setting Must have experience with excel, as they will be using it daily PREFERRED if they have EPIC as they will be pulling data from EPIC Must have STRONG Computer skills Must be organized as they will be supporting the billing team Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
