Description The Billing Associate will manage the billing process for our ABA services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and payer requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing and a strong understanding of insurance verification and claims processing. Key Responsibilities Manage the billing processes for ABA therapy services provided to school districts and home clients, ensuring accuracy in claims submission, adherence to insurance and funding requirements, and timely invoicing. Prepare and submit accurate claims for ABA service to insurance companies and other payers in a timely manner. Verify insurance coverage and benefits for new and existing clients. Follow up on outstanding claims, investigate denials, and resolve billing discrepancies. Reconcile patient accounts, process payments, and generate billing reports. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and billing codes related to ABA services. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes. Provide excellent customer service to clients regarding billing inquiries and account statuses. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant laws and regulations. Expected Hours of Work 40 hours per week. Work Environment Hybrid Flexibility Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical billing, preferably in an ABA or healthcare setting. Proficiency in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong understanding of insurance verification, claims processing, and denial management. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Preferred Skills Certification in medical billing or coding. Experience in ABA-specific billing codes and practices. Knowledge of payer requirements and industry regulations.
