Our HQ office in Torrance is hiring for a Billing Associate. The Billing Associate will be responsible for assisting the Billing Manager with multiple avenues of revenue collection and auditing and processing billing on a quarterly and intra-quarter basis. Our ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and able to process multiple billing requests whilst maintaining accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will also have experience working within the Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) industry and will be well versed with Microsoft Office Suites. Responsibilities
  • Work with Billing Manager to collect quarterly and intra-quarter revenue
  • Perform quarterly audits to ensure the integrity of our portfolio management system
  • Prepare and send invoices, as well as work directly with Advisors to assist with collection of aged receivables
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to assist with fee reconciliation
  • Act as a liaison between Finance and the Operations, Client Relationship, and Portfolio Management teams
  • Handle all incoming requests via our Client Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Maintain contacts and working relationships with 3rd party Annuity companies
  • Perform additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or STEM)
  • 1-3+ years of experience in an Operational role required (experience with financial services firm preferred)
  • Accounting and CRM experience- Salesforce a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Applications- Excel required
  • Self- starter who can take initiative, with a willingness to learn and take on new tasks
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team-based, collaborative environment
